This sounds promising. Energy without an end. And although this energy bar is pretty OK, our relationship ended up earlier than I thought.
TRIBE is the company that I know from subscription boxes with bars and supplements. And as a while ago their products were available only this way, some things have changed since then. Now you can buy them separated in brick and mortar stores. And that’s good, as you can have more control over it. The question is, however, is this TRIBE Choc Salt Caramel Infinity Energy Bar worth your hard earned money?
There’s nearly nothing better than Chocolate and Salted Caramel. However, this is what we won’t find in the smell of this energy bar. There’s only slightly noticeable salt caramel whiff in it. And just a touch of choc flavour. What they definitely lack, though, is their intense. Anyway, this bar is softish on the outside and pretty soft on the inside. That means there should be no problem with biting into it. This bar is not chewy (that’s good), but it’s significantly sticky. Or, to be more precise, you may find not too comfortable its nuts being stuck in between the teeth. Therefore, have a sip or three while eating it.
Not bad taste, but it lacks its intense.
When it comes to the taste of this energy bar, it’s just OK. And I’m not too surprised about it, honestly. Forget about all the flavours being easily detectable. All you’ll find here is a bit of sweet-o-salty taste and that’s it. In other words, it’s not possible to detect and enjoy all the flavours from the packaging of this energy bar. I mean chocolate, salt and caramel (or salted caramel). However, the taste we’ve got here is not too bad. But at the same time, it’s far from being somewhat sweet or satisfying. It’s just OK, but it’s not what I expected looking at this bar.
I ate an entire TRIBE Choc Salt Caramel bar and I was struggling to find it enjoyable. It was OK, but it’s still not enough to be something more than an average energy bar.
This is an energy bar that is slightly underpowered. A 50g bar has 206 kcal, 7.8g of fat, 25g of carbs and 7.1g of protein. Well, it could be more balanced. And its ingredients list could be much better than it is, as there is brown rice syrup in it.
Step by step and we can clearly see it’s not the finest energy bar on the go.
‘We are Tribe’. But we are disappointed.
TRIBE Choc Salt Caramel Infinity Energy Bar. All right. But where’s that chocolate, salt and caramel? Well, not here. It’s not that bar is not tasty or something. It is. But it’s not what it promises. It has not satisfying taste, it’s a bit underpowered and the ingredients list could be better. That means it’s another, an average energy bar.
Will I ever go back to this TREK energy bar? I don’t say NO (like in this case). But I’m also pretty far from saying ‘yes, I want it’. It means that maybe one day while having not much better options… Who knows? But no, it’s not any kind of recommendation.
