Quest Protein Bar White Chocolate Raspberry Flavour

This protein bar is absolutely disgusting. It tastes like alcohol in the form of a bar. And if I got them for free, then I’d throw them straight away. Seriously.

There are pleasant and tasty protein bars out there, like PowerBar ProteinPlus Raspberry Yoghurt flavour. Also, the ones that I’d want to go back to despite some minor flaws in them, like Proteinissimo Dark Chocolate Sensation flavour. How about the range you can pick any from it and you usually can’t go wrong? Here it is. And on top (or bottom?) of that, there are Quest Bars. The ones I personally stay away from. And I only eat them to write a review of them, just for you. And this is what we’ve got here, with Quest Protein Bar White Chocolate Strawberry Flavour.

Forget about being too sticky to unwrap this protein bar effortlessly. What is much, much worse than that is its scent. This bar smells like alcohol you poured out on your skin or clothes — nothing pleasant, to be honest. Yes, there’s a touch of Raspberry flavour, but it’s barely detectable here. A pretty toughish on the outside, this bar is only somewhat softish inside. Therefore, it’s not excessively comfortable to bite into it, but it’s not a tragedy either. A slightly chewy and sticky bar is still acceptable in this matter. And it’s easy to eat it without a sip.

This flavour is not a White Chocolate Raspberry. It’s a flavour of trauma.

Seriously, this protein bar is awful in its taste. The main flavour is alcohol-like and it’s nothing pleasant. After a moment you’ll taste a sweet taste that more resembles sweetener taste than anything you’d expect here. And then, somewhere at the end, there’s something like White Chocolate Raspberry flavour. But again, it’s nothing you’d expect out of it. And as if all that weren’t enough, there’s also a bitterish aftertaste that lasts after you eat the entire bar.

Do I want another serving of… OMG! Of course I don’t! And if you got me any more of it, I’d throw it straight away.

Quest Protein Bars are always reliable when it comes to their macros. And here we’ve got a 60g bar that has only 204 kcal, 8.1g of fat, 7.8g of carbs (including only 1.7g of sugar) and a solid amount of 20g of protein. Also, there’s as much as 15g of a very important fibre. Impressive. The ingredients list is also a solid point of this snack, as there’s no added sugar, no palm fat, no syrup. Instead of that, there’s a natural flavouring in it. Nice.

Reliable macros and solid ingredients. That sounds pretty good. But considering its disgusting flavour, it can’t be the finest protein bar on the go.

This bar is simply traumatic.

Quest Protein Bar White Chocolate Raspberry Flavour

OMG! What an experience… This is another Quest Protein Bar, White Chocolate Raspberry this time, that is traumatic. It smells horrible, it tastes even worse. And after you eat it, you will be left with that disgusting, bitterish aftertaste in your mouth… And anything else doesn’t matter here at all.

Will I ever go back to this Quest protein bar? Never! But it doesn’t mean Quest has nothing to offer at all. How about this decently tasty Quest Protein Cookie?
