PhD SmartJack Apple Crumble Protein and Oat Flapjack

PhD SmartJack Apple Crumble Protein & Oat Flapjack

What a surprise! A protein flapjack that is whey much better than the majority of protein bars! Could you believe it? We couldn’t. And that’s why it’s really worth to read this review.

We couldn’t believe there may be a flapjack better than nearly all the protein bars being available on the market. And it is made by PhD. But here it is, the Apple Crumble protein flapjack that is our favourite snack of this kind for now. Why did we like it so much? That’s why.

PhD SmartJack Apple Crumble Protein & Oat Flapjack

Not that we tested all of them, but believe us – Pako is a real protein snacks monster and when Kaz is seeing he’s eating anything protein related, then sharing is a must. Anyway, this flapjack smells impressive. A beautiful scent of apple crumbles seems to be nothing but a real apple crumble pie! You can easily notice both sweetness and apples in it.

This is one of just a few protein snacks that we know right away that one serving isn’t going to be enough.

Before we start reviewing it (OMG! It lasts forever! But we need to follow the testing procedure, right?), it’s worth knowing one more thing. Or two. This flapjack is genuinely soft and comfortable to eat. Also, it’s barely chewy and only slightly tries to stick to your teeth. The thing that may be most annoying here is that walnut present both on the surface of this flapjack and inside it may stick between your teeth. Well, it happens.

But all of those minor imperfections are nothing next to the taste of that flapjack! It tastes outstanding. Period. Once you bite it, you’ll taste a perfectly balanced composition of slightly sourish apples and not-to-sweet sweetness. An absolutely, utterly excellent combination of tastes we love in apple crumble pie. Without any disturbing bitterness or any other weird things. Mastery crafted, giving you pleasure and perfectly enjoyable moments. Ooh!

Do we want another serving after the first one? We would lie if we said one is enough in that case. So yeah, give us as many of these flapjacks as you have. We’ll take all of them!

And surprise, suprise! This protein snack has not bad macros too. 235 kcal per flapjack is the right amount of energy for this kind of treat. Also, there’s 8.8g of fat, 26g of carbs (of which 8.5g of sugar) and 15g of protein. On the ingredients list, you’ll find only one ingredient we don’t like, golden syrup.

Can it be a sustainable protein flapjack on the go? We believe it could be, but that golden syrup in ingredients…

An unquestionably outstanding protein flapjack that is nearly perfect

Great smell, ease of eating, outstanding taste and feeling that was well worth to give it a try. And a willingness to eat another serving right after the first one. This is nothing common even among regular flapjack, packed with fat and sugar, not saying the protein ones. This is a remarkable result.

Will we ever go back to that protein flapjack? Oh boy, definitely! For now, it’s our favourite protein flapjack. And if we ever feel like eating a protein flapjack, this one is going to be our go-to protein flapjack. Period.
