All right, I get it. Breast cancer research support. And I’m all over it. However, why doesn’t it support my taste buds as well?
I think every way of supporting any idea is praiseworthy. Especially, the one considering breast cancer awareness charity. And this is what we’ve got here. Every time you buy this Limited Edition of Oppo protein ice cream 10p out of its price goes to this charity. And I’d be more than happy to support it. The question is, however, why this Oppo Raspberry protein ice cream doesn’t support my taste buds?
This ice cream is really tough after taking it out of the freezer. But that’s OK. I don’t mind. Especially, I bought it for purpose. The thing I do mind, however, is the taste of this ice cream. To put it as mildly as I can, this ice cream is terrible in its taste. There’s some kind of a touch of raspberry flavour. But what is much, much stronger than that is the flavour of protein. Not a specific flavour, but in general, just a bitterish protein flavour. And it’s bad. Really bad. Nearly disgusting. Sorry. 🙁
I was supposed to eat the entire tub of this Oppo Raspberry protein ice cream.
The macros of this ice cream are OK. Half a tube has 159 kcal, 8.3g of fat, 17.6g of carbs (of which 13.1g of sugar) and 6.7g of protein. Not too spectacular. The ingredients list is better than that, as there’s no added sugar, no palm oil, no syrups.
A good initiative with bad, bad execution.
Oppo CoppaFeel! Raspberry Nipple Protein Ice Cream is a good idea of supporting an important goal. However, it’s done in a bad way. This protein ice cream is simply bad, dreadful and it’s not worth to buy it. Instead of that, you’d better support CuppaFeel! Charity with as little as £1. It’s going to be worth ten tubs of this ice cream without spending your money on bad ice cream.
Will I ever go back to this protein ice cream? No way! No chances for that.
