Nearly as good as real strawberry cheesecake. This protein flapjack is not a bad alternative for your not-too-mobile slice of cheesecake.
Sooner or later we will face it all. We will want to have our favourite tastes like fruit cake, white choc blondie or rocky road with ourselves. Anytime, anywhere. The problem is, however, these flavours are pretty not-too-mobile in their original form. Or, at least, pretty troublesome to keep them in one piece while on the go. And that’s where pretty mobile and ready to go sweet snacks with these flavours come into play. And it’s even better if they are a healthier version of originals. So imagine carrying a strawberry cheesecake to the gym or for cycling to enjoy it at any time? Well, that’s pretty impossible. That’s where Oatein Oats & Protein Flapjack may come in handy.
And it’s going to be an awe-inspiring experience, as this flapjack smells lovely (much better than Pro2Go Strawberry Cheesecake Oat Bake) It resembles a real and thick strawberry cheesecake, that is nearly impossible to distinguish from a
Let’s taste it, at last! I do it and it’s not too bad at all. It feels like a real strawberry cheesecake.
It’s sweet and pleasant. And there’s nearly no oats aroma in it. Win-win? What’s here, however, is a barely detectable bitterness. It doesn’t ruin the overall experience, but it’s here. Eventually, there’s also a strange dissonance between the smooth texture of the real cheesecake and a somewhat crumbly and slightly grainy thickness of this flapjack. It’s nothing to be concerned about, but it’s good to know
How about another serving after the first one? Well, it was good. It was delicious. But somewhere inside I can feel that one flapjack is enough for me for now.
With regards to macros, the question is: is it better in that matter than a regular cheesecake? And the answer is: it depends. A 75g flapjack will decrease your daily nutrients intake by 302 kcal, 7.9g of fat, 38.1g of carbs (including 9.5g of sugar) and a pretty nice 18.7g of protein. And I guess it may be a real alternative to the native snack. At least if you don’t mind palm fat in the ingredients.
Can it be a sustainable protein flapjack on the go? Not actually. Palm fat makes that battle for a title failed.
Nearly as good as strawberry cheesecake. But much more mobile-friendly for sure.
Oatein Oats & Protein Flapjack Strawberry Cheesecake flavour does a great job. It’s some kind of cheesecake you can take with yourself anywhere. At any time. Without the risk of smashing it and make it hard to look at it and eat it. It smells lovely, taste not much worse and it has pretty nice macros. And overall, it’s a whole lot of oats that you virtually won’t taste at all. So it seems to be multiple wins here, right?
Will I ever go back to this protein flapjack? There are chances for that. As I love cheesecakes of any kind, I am a bit sad I can’t take them with myself here and there. Now, with this protein flapjack, it’s not a problem at all.
