This is a total makeover. A new version of CNP Lemon Meringue protein flapjacks is much better than before. And now, for a change, it’s definitely worth to give it a try. And stock.
You may be still able to buy a previous version of this CNP Lemon Meringue protein flapjack. And if you do, then don’t do that. The reason for that is while reviewing it, we were quite far from being exciting about it. On a par of CNP, the maker of it. As a result of that, CNP contacted us to let us know we are slightly not up to date with their flapjacks. And they offered to send us a sample flapjacks to give them another try. So here it is, a new version of their Lemon Meringue protein flapjack that makes a huuuge difference.
This protein flapjack smells lovely. It’s like a real Lemon Meringue Cake. It’s rich, it’s deep and it’s very inviting. A total change from the last time we met. The firmness of this flapjack changed too, for good. Now it’s a pretty soft flapjack that is comfortable easy to bite into and chew. However, it’s a bit chewy and somewhat sticky. And a bit crumbly. But that’s OK, as there’s significant progress in this matter. Also, while eating it, you may not need any sip, as this snack is pleasantly moist. Yaaas!
Not much has changed when it comes to the taste of this flapjack. It’s still tasty and delicious, highly palatable.
The Lemon Meringue taste is easily detectable and complete. It’s rich and tasty, with a touch of lemon flavour. Also, there’s a touch of white chocolate flavour too (just look at its bottom coating) that is only slightly noticeable. Eventually, the flavour itself is delightful and well balanced when it comes to its sweetness too. This flapjack easily makes its way as a sweet protein snack. And I guess, considering its taste is so rare, but exciting, it may be a satisfying protein snack. Therefore, +0.5 pt in this department.
Do I want another CNP Lemon Meringue Protein Flapjack after the first serving? I have no doubt one serving is not enough here. Give me more of it (thankfully, we’ve got a full case of them! Thanks, CNP! 😉 ).
Regarding the macros of this flapjack, it’s pretty OK. A 75g flapjack has 264 kcal, 8.3g of fat, 34g of carbs (including 3.8g of sugar) and a pretty nice 18.75g of protein. Not too bad. The ingredients list, however, could be a bit better, as there is added sugar, palm oil and date syrup.
And this is the reason it can’t be the finest protein flapjack on the go.
This is a damn good Lemon Meringue protein flapjack.
New CNP Lemon Meringue Protein Flapjack is a damn good one. It tastes lovely, it’s genuinely comfortable to eat and it has not bad macros. The only flaw here is the ingredients list. But still, it’s relatively easy to eat more than one of them in one sitting. So be careful!
Will I ever go back to this protein flapjack? The question here should rather be: will CNP send us more of them, please? 😉
